A 6x37 construction contains more, finer wires, making the rope more flexible and suitable for repeated bending over sheaves. In contrast, ropes with fewer, thicker wires are generally stronger and more abrasion-resistant but less flexible.The core of the rope also affects its performance. A fiber core provides flexibility and helps retain lubrication, while a steel core offers greater strength and heat resistance. Steel core ropes are commonly used in heavy-duty and high-temperature environments.Special construction types are also available for specific tasks. Rotation-resistant ropes are designed to minimize spinning when lifting heavy loads at great heights.
